The College of the Holy Cross’ athletic teams are tied for 17th in the nation out of 351 Division I schools with an overall graduation rate of 97 percent, according to the Graduation Success Rate Report released by the NCAA. This marks the 10th straight year in which Holy Cross has posted a Graduation Success Rate of at least 97 percent.
Holy Cross was one of only four Patriot League institutions to rank in the top 20 as well as one of only five institutions ranked in the top 20 in New England, led by a Graduation Success Rate of 99 percent at Harvard and followed by Brown, Dartmouth and Yale with 98 percent. The data used to calculate the Graduation Success Rate is from the four-class aggregate of entering classes from 2006 through 2009, for which the NCAA has compiled sport-by-sport figures.
“The entire Holy Cross community takes great pride in the exceptional work our scholar-athletes put into their academic efforts,” said Holy Cross director of athletics Nathan Pine. “It is remarkable to once again see Holy Cross recognized among the top 20 nationally by the NCAA for their outstanding work in the classroom.”
