Eleven College of the Holy Cross teams achieved a perfect score of 1,000 in the recently released NCAA’s Academic Progress Rate (APR), which measures academic performance among Division I programs.
All 11 teams had a perfect multi-year APR score (based on the data from the 2011-2012 through 2014-2015 school years), tying Holy Cross for 10th in the nation out of 356 Division I schools.
“Student-athlete achievement in the classroom is an important source of pride to everyone associated with Holy Cross,” Nathan Pine, director of athletics, said. “Our dedicated young women and men put tremendous effort into their studies and I’m thrilled to see the NCAA recognize them nationally for their achievements.”
The APR uses a series of formulas related to student-athlete retention and eligibility to measure the academics performance of all participants on teams at every Division I college and university.
