What’s Life Like at Holy Cross? Find Out Directly From Students in Their Blogs

Stories of academic exploration, abundant co-curricular opportunities, close-knit community are told in student blogs

If you want to get to know what Holy Cross is really like, meet our bloggers.

On me.holycross.edu, 15 students keep Web diaries and two “tweet” about all facets of life on Mount St. James.

Seven first-year students write about the excitement and adventure of starting college.

After navigating — and thriving — through their freshman year, two second-year students share what their no-longer-newbie status brings.

Six students taking part in the College’s unique Study Abroad program write about cultural immersion in England, France, Ireland, Peru, Scotland and Spain.

A fourth-year student offers reflections on her community service experiences at a nonprofit in Worcester.

Three other blogs add to the mix of voices. Admissions staff post regularly in an effort to demystify the applications process. A photo blog illustrates dynamic life — and beautiful scenes — on the Hill. Finally, Mathew Schmalz, associate professor of religious studies, blogs for On Faith, a joint production by Newsweek and The Washington Post.

The student blogs are regularly updated and provide a direct, unfiltered window into campus life. Many posts include photos of friends, co-curricular activities, athletics and the campus.
