PRI

In a segment on PRI’s The World, Jerry Lembcke, associate professor of sociology at the College of the Holy Cross and Vietnam War veteran, discusses the distorted memory that Americans have of the anti-war movement due to the influence of popular culture and news media.

“Vietnam is the most mythologized war in American history because it was a lost war,” said Lembke.  “And so the American people are constantly reworking the outcome of that war.”
