Toronto MC Drake will bring his “The Away From Home Tour” to Holy Cross when he headlines this year’s Spring Concert on May 4 at 8 p.m. in the Hart Center. Doors open at 7 p.m. New York City-native band Francis and the Lights and Canadian rapper k-os will also perform.
Tickets go on sale for the Holy Cross community March 22 and can be purchased at the Hogan 1 lobby tables. Tickets are $20 for Holy Cross students with an ID (limit two tickets per student) and $25 for Holy Cross faculty and staff and students in the Colleges of Worcester Consortium. Tickets for the general public are $30 and go on sale March 29, and will also be available in the Holy Cross Bookstore or online that date. Tickets are not being sold by phone.
Drake made his debut with last year’s EP So Far Gone, which entered at No. 6 on the Billboard 200, and spawned the hit singles “Best I Ever Had” and “Successful.” Recently billed as “hip-hop’s new leading man” by Rolling Stone, Drake will release his debut album Thank Me Later in May. The tour is Drake’s first headline trek in North America.
In the last few years, headlining acts for the annual Spring Concert at Holy Cross, sponsored by the Campus Activities Board, have included Jason Mraz, Lupe Fiasco and Guster.
