WORCESTER, Mass. – Holy Cross will hold its sixth annual Relay for Disaster Relief on April 20 at 6:30 p.m. at the Hart Track. Proceeds from the relay will be donated to “Stand By You,” Holy Cross’ coordinated show of financial, physical, and spiritual support for the victims of Hurricane Katrina.
Groups of friends, members of sports teams, neighbors from residence halls, and many more will come together to raise at least $200 each and complete 30 laps per group. As they walk or run around the Hart Center Track, they will enjoy live music from campus bands and speeches from the Holy Cross students who participated in Katrina-related service trips.
More than 400 students, faculty and staff are expected to participate in this year’s event. The relay is open to members of the Colleges of Worcester Consortium.
