Holy Cross Basketball Player Nominated for National 'Good Works Team Award' for Effort on the Court and In the Community

Unlike many Division I athletes, the post-college plans of sophomore guard Marcellis Perkins ’19 don’t include going pro. A sports columnist for The Virginian Pilot interviews Perkins about his dream of becoming a role model for young men – a dream that motivated him to add a slew of extracurricular and community service activities to his already packed student-athlete schedule. His efforts have earned him a nomination for the prestigious 2017 Allstate National Association of Basketball Coaches Good Works Team Award.
