Tommy Heinsohn ’56, and Mike Gorman, the Boston Celtics television commentary team for 35 years, were recently inducted into the Massachusetts Broadcasters Hall of Fame. The Massachusetts Broadcasters Hall of Fame is an organization that honors the “industry’s most noteworthy members from Massachusetts, commemorates their achievements and contributions to broadcasting and preserves their work for future generations.”
Heinsohn is a former player and coach for the Boston Celtics before turning to broadcasting. Heinsohn accepted the award in Gorman’s absence and commented on the experience in a CSNNE video. “We all had a great time. Some great people were on [the Hall of Fame], and it was a lot of fun.”
