Dominic Blue ’98 recently received the Founders’ Award, an award given by The Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights and Economic Justice. The award, which commemorates the courage and public interest contribution of the committee’s founders in establishing an anti-discrimination organization, was given to Blue for “his work in helping Mass Mutual become recognized as a leader in diversity,” The Bay State Banner reports.
Blue, a sociology major at Holy Cross, leads the Corporate Law, Insurance Risk Management and Real Estate Services teams at MassMutual. He also serves on the board of the Massachusetts Department of Transportation, and on the board and finance and executive committees of the Greater Springfield YMCA, according to the article.
During his time at Holy Cross, Blue was a member of the varsity football team, and was a co-captain; he was also a member of the Black Student Union and the Campus Activities Board.
