WHY To meet, visit, and talk with men and women in East Africa who are economically poor and marginalized. To hear directly from people who are working in solidarity with these communities to bring about change, such as Sr. Gladys Owuor and Priscilla Nangurai, who work to bring education to those who would otherwise be left out (e.g., young girls and children with special needs) and Peter Unyango who seeks to support the many children orphaned as a result of HIV/AIDS in his native village of Unyolo.
