‘Trust Me, You Will Thrive’ — Welcome, Class of 2028

College welcomes the class of 2028 with two of its favorite traditions.

It was a beautiful day, literally and figuratively, as Holy Cross welcomed 843 members of the class of 2028 to Mount St. James with two beloved mainstays, Move-In Day and Mass of the Holy Spirit.

“You chose Holy Cross, where classes are small and the community is vibrant and ready for your contributions,” College President Vincent D. Rougeau told the class during Mass of the Holy Spirit. “Here, you will be encouraged to speak up and engage. When, how, and with whom are up to you. You will have your certainties challenged and perspectives broadened. And trust me, you will thrive.

“There is a magic to this day, and this Mass,” he noted to parents. “We celebrate the love you have for your child as they enter an exciting and new journey of friendship, community, and knowledge. As you leave a part of your family with us, know that we will be your student’s partners, mentors and allies. We will work together to make your child’s decision to come to Holy Cross the best they’ve ever made.”
