WORCESTER, Mass. – There will be a round-table discussion by Holy Cross students on the challenges and opportunities for a dialogue between Islam and the West on March 21 at 4 p.m. in Mulledy Hall. The talk is free and open to the public.
The discussion, titled "Islam and the West: Challenges and Opportunities for Dialogue at Holy Cross and Beyond," will feature Shiva Marvasti ’08, a political science major; Caitlin Griffin ’08, biology; Andrew Le ’09, chemistry and Stephanie Landry ’09, undeclared.
The discussion is the last of a six part series titled "Islam and the West: A Clash of Civilizations or a Search for Common Ground." The event is sponsored by the Peace and Conflict Studies and the Office of Student Affairs’ Multicultural Peer Educators.
