Soon after Commencement Exercises take place at the end of May each year, construction crews and their vehicles emerge to undertake a variety of projects to maintain the Holy Cross campus and enhance living, learning and recreational spaces.
Crews are particularly busy this year, working on no less than 35 projects. The work ranges from the construction of an apartment-style residence hall, to an expansive landscaping project behind the campus center, to the installation of new turf on an athletic field.
Earlier this year, Holy Cross was the recipient of a 2011 Paul E. Tsongas Award from Preservation Massachusetts for its stewardship of the 174-acre campus.
