More than 150 alumni from across the country gathered at Holy Cross April 11 to 13 to celebrate the 40 year anniversary of the founding of the Black Student Union. The event allowed alumni — many of whom attended Holy Cross during the turbulent late ’60s and early ’70s — to reconnect with old friends and share stories. The occasion drew many distinguished alumni, including Clarence Thomas ’71, associate justice of the U.S. Supreme Court; Theodore V. Wells Jr. ’72, one of the leading litigators in the nation; and Eddie J. Jenkins Jr. ’72, chairman of the Massachusetts Alcoholic Beverages Commission and former Miami Dolphins running back.
Coverage of the celebration.
