Nicole Giannino Drafted by Boston Blades Read Time 1 Minute Former Holy Cross student-athlete Nicole Giannino "15 was selected in the Canadian Women’s Hockey League draft by the Boston Blades on Sunday afternoon. She was the Blades’ second draft pick and was selected 10th overall.Giannino accumulated 70 points with 37 goals and 33 assists in 104 games in her career as a Crusader. As a junior, she led the team in scoring 26 points with 12 goals and 14 assists. She was also named ECAC Player of the Week on two occasions, and the GoHolyCross.com Crusader of the Week once during her junior season.Giannino finished her career having tied 10th for career goals (37) and sixth for career game-winning goals (9) in the history of the program.
