Legendary Guitarist Jay Geils to Give Talk at Holy Cross

WORCESTER, Mass. – Legendary guitarist Jay Geils will give a talk titled "The Evolution of the Electric Guitar" on March 30 at 4:30 p.m. in the Hogan Campus Center, Room 519 at the College of the Holy Cross. The talk is free and open to the public.

Geils will demonstrate various guitar styles that were the cornerstone of rhythm and blues and eventually rock ’n’ roll in the ’50s.

The J. Geils band was a Boston based band that achieved international success in the early ’80s with hits like "Centerfold." Jay Geils currently performs with the jazz trio, New Guitar Summit.
