Two-time Tony Award winning choreographer Bill T. Jones will be visiting campus tomorrow, March 21 to deliver a talk titled "An Evening with Bill T. Jones." Jones' upcoming visit was recently featured in the Worcester Telegram & Gazette, along with the Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Dance Company creative residency led by members Christina Robson and Carlo Antonio Villanueva. Robson and Villanueva are conducting the residency at the College with the help of Arts Transcending Borders and the Theatre and Dance Department working with dance students of various levels of experience and visiting classes in several disciplines.
Jones and his company are also in the process of creating and developing a major new work, "The Deep Blue Sea," which Robson and Villanueva have included in discussions and reflections with dance students. "This is an investigation into a new work," Jones told Richard Duckett from the Telegram. "Two wonderful dancers are working with students, but at the same time they are part of a lab of our ideas."
Jones' event, "An Evening with Bill T. Jones" will be held in Fenwick Theatre tomorrow at 7:30 p.m.
