WORCESTER, Mass. – More than 300 administrators from the 28 Jesuit colleges and universities nationwide will gather at the College of the Holy Cross July 11-13 for the 2010 Jesuit Advancement Administrators (JAA) conference. Holy Cross is hosting the annual conference for the first time since 1998.
JAA is a professional organization of staff serving the Jesuit institutions of higher education. The conference will bring together members who work in areas such as development, donor relations, marketing and communications, alumni relations, and advancement services for panel discussions, presentations, plenary sessions, and other events on and off the Holy Cross campus.

Rev. James Martin, S.J., a Jesuit priest, author and culture editor of America, the national Catholic magazine, will give a presentation titled “Laughing with the Saints: Joy, Honor and Laughter in the Spiritual Life,” on Sunday, July 11 at 8:15 p.m. in the Hogan Ballroom. Rev. Michael C. McFarland, S.J., will also be in attendance.
Conference participants will gather at the Higgins Armory on Monday, July 12 at 6:30 p.m. for a cocktail reception, complete with a fencing exhibit and tour of the armory.
