What is a turning point or significant memory from your time at Holy Cross? 

One of my fondest memories from my time at Holy Cross was receiving my acceptance letter to the Washington Semester Program during the spring of my junior year. Although I was leaving campus yet again after just returning from the COVID-19 pandemic, the D.C. semester was something that I knew I wanted to experience since the moment I was accepted to Holy Cross. The program was truly transformative and I credit Holy Cross’s commitment to experiential learning for making that experience possible. During the program, I made lifelong memories and some of my closest friends at Holy Cross. 

What are lessons from Holy Cross that you’ll take with you after leaving Mount St. James? 

One lesson that I will take with me beyond Holy Cross is that if I think that I am interested or might have an emerging passion for something, I will pursue it further to find out where that interest leads. Second, and although cliché, I would say that going outside one’s comfort zone will always teach you something that you wouldn’t have known about oneself. In other words, Holy Cross has taught me to embrace the unknown to fully realize personal growth. 

What are you doing after you graduate? 

Following graduation, I will be teaching high school history in a Massachusetts public high school. I am currently in the application and interview process, and was fortunate enough to be afforded the opportunity to give a model lesson at a high school in contention.
