Claire Wolf '25 has been selected to deliver the class of 2025 valedictory address at the commencement ceremony on Friday, May 23, 2025, at the DCU Center in Worcester.

A Cleveland native, Wolf is a political science major with a concentration in peace and conflict studies. She is a member of the Alpha Sigma Nu Jesuit Honor Society and the Pi Sigma Alpha Political Science National Honor Society, as well as a 2023-2025 Dana Scholar.

While at Holy Cross, Wolf has served in various roles in the Student Government Association, which she now leads as co-president, working alongside student leaders, faculty and administration in service to the student body. Wolf also served as co-president of the citywide Worcester Student Government Association during her junior year.

In her sophomore year, Wolf traveled to Flint, Michigan, as part of the Spring Break Immersion Program, which offers Holy Cross students the opportunity to build relationships across economic, regional and cultural differences with people throughout the U.S.

Additionally, Wolf spent the spring 2024 semester in Washington, D.C., through the College’s Washington Semester Program, working as a legislative intern in the office of U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown of Ohio.

Since joining the Worcester community, Wolf has volunteered with Ascentria Care Alliance and The Refugee and Immigrant Assistance Center, both in partnership with the Donelan Office of Community-Based Learning

Following graduation from Holy Cross, Wolf plans to pursue a Fulbright fellowship abroad, before returning to Washington, D.C. to work in policy.

Wolf was selected as valedictorian from a group of academically outstanding members of the senior class, each of whom submitted speeches for consideration. The Valedictorian Selection Committee — composed of students from the senior class, faculty members and administrators — reviewed the submissions, met with the students and selected Wolf from this exceptional group.
