Biology Professor from Brown University to Speak on ‘Creationism and Evolution’ at Holy Cross

WORCESTER, Mass. – Kenneth R. Miller, professor of molecular biology at Brown University, will give a talk titled "Creationism and Evolution" on Feb. 22 at 7:30 p.m. in the Rehm Library at the College of the Holy Cross.

Miller is a specialist in theory of evolution. He is the author of Finding Darwin’s God: A Scientist’s Search for Common Ground Between God and Evolution (1999), in which the religious implications of evolution are analyzed.

Professor Miller has produced more than 50 scientific papers and reviews on membrane structure and function that have been published in leading journals, including Cell, Nature, and Scientific American. He is coauthor of three different biology textbooks.

Miller will also meet with classes during his visit.

The lecture is sponsored by the Center for Religion, Ethics and Culture and the biology department.
