As a member of the Class of 1949, and his nearly 50 years of service to Holy Cross — 24 as president — Rev. John E. Brooks, S.J., touched the lives of generations of Crusaders.
Soon after learning of his death on July 2, alumni, members of the College community, and others sent emails, left comments on the Holy Cross website (scroll to bottom) and took to social media to express sorrow at the loss of a man whose leadership and vision transformed Holy Cross, and left an indelible impression on many lives.
