With the Hart Center expansion and renovation well underway, the top of College Hill is taking on a new shape.
Construction began in mid-December with the installation of a silk fence around the perimeter of the Hart lawn where the construction will take place. In just two months, a new natural gas line has been installed that feeds into the Hart Center, erosion controls have been put in place, and the removal of earth has begun, according to John Lapomardo, director of engineering and utilities at Holy Cross.
The next phases of construction will include the demolition of the warehouse adjacent to the Hart Center and the blasting of the rock on the construction site.
The expanded and renovated Hart Center is central to the College’s ongoing commitment to provide an exceptional student-athlete experience and to compete at the highest levels of Division I athletics.
