The College of the Holy Cross received 7,222 applications for admission to the Class of 2012. The Admissions staff carefully reviewed all applications — looking at academic standing, essays, recommendation letters, co-curricular activities, and community involvement, among other things — before selecting students for acceptance to the class.
Staff in the Admissions office at Holy Cross have been blogging about the admissions process all year. As the frenzy over college admissions has hit a fever pitch across the nation in the last few years, one of the goals of the blog has been to ease frayed nerves.
Now officers are offering up advice to students about the next steps in the process and responding to some of the most frequently heard concerns and questions. Read what they have to say.
