From buying items in bulk to online shopping, the COVID-19 global pandemic has radically altered what, when and how people are buying.

In a recent interview with The New York Times, Ellis Jones, assistant professor of sociology at the College of the Holy Cross, stressed that now more than ever it is imperative to consider the consequences of our shopping choices.

A scholar of social responsibility, global citizenship, and ethical consumerism, Jones is currently working – with the help of his students – on the 7th edition of "The Better World Shopping Guide," a comprehensive guide for socially and environmentally responsible consumers.
