Holy Cross Music Department Announces the Fall 2015 Concert Series

The music department at the College of the Holy Cross is excited to announce the concert schedule for the fall semester. One of the many highlights of the series is a concert of French music of the 19th and 20th centuries performed by the Holy Cross Chamber Players, featuring Linda Bento-Rei, flute; Carol Lieberman, violin/viola; and Vytas Baksys, piano. The program will open with “Fantasy for Flute and Piano, Op.79” by composer Gabrielle Fauré, which begins with a luxurious slow flute melody introduction with a simple alternating bass note and after-beat accompaniment. Other composers featured in this performance include Francis Poulenc, Erik Satie, Jaques Ibert and César Franck. The concert series will include the following musical performances on campus throughout the fall semester. All events are free and open to the public.
