The Holy Cross Music Department Announces the Fall 2014 Concert Series Read Time 2 Minutes Press Releases Mission Student Experience Academics The music department at the College of the Holy Cross will kick off its fall concert schedule on Sept. 9 at 7:30 p.m. with a concert by the newly appointed Artists-in Residence Adam Golka, piano, Saul Bitran, violin, and Jan Müller-Szeraws, cello, in the Brooks Concert Hall. The program will open with a virtuoso duo for violin and cello by the Norwegian violinist, conductor and composer Johan Halvorsen. It will continue with two of Chopin"s widely-beloved masterpieces, “Third Ballade” and “First Scherzo” for piano solo, and close with one of the great masterpieces of Beethoven's chamber music output: “His Archduke Trio.”The concert series will include the following musical performances on campus throughout the fall semester. All events are free and open to the public.
