Holy Cross Featured in U.S. News & World Report College Road Trip

U.S. News & World Report

U.S. News & World Report’s “Central Massachusetts College Road Trip” visited the College of the Holy Cross Campus last September. The article, excerpted from U.S. News’ Best Colleges 2016 guidebook, took a look at what it’s like to attend the College.

“College of the Holy Cross, steeped in the Jesuit tradition, prides itself on intimate, contemplative classes,” U.S. News says, “a close-knit community and opportunities for students to study abroad and engage in community service both near and far.” The article discusses Holy Cross’ Montserrat program, study abroad program, Jesuit identity, and strong alumni network.

Students were interviewed about their experiences at the College. Jeffrey Reppucci ’14 commented that, “All of my professional development has been through the wonderful network [at Holy Cross].” Chris Campbell ’15 said, “The opportunities here are endless.”

With 90 percent of students living on campus, the media outlet discusses the social scene of residence hall life as well as Holy Cross’ commitment to academics: “Holy Cross prides itself on the solid academic performance of students, including athletes.  More than 90 percent of grads who apply to medical school or law school are accepted.”

Holy Cross ranks No. 32 on U.S. News & World Report’s 2016 list of the “Best National Liberal Arts Colleges.” The College also made U.S. New & World Report’s list of just 62 schools nation-wide that meet 100 percent of students’ demonstrated financial need.
