WORCESTER, Mass. – Former Holy Cross basketball standout Kevin Hamilton (Queens Village, N.Y.) has signed a contract to play professional basketball in Poland. Hamilton will play for SKK Kotwica Kolobrzeg, which competes in the Dominet Bank Ekstraliga, and is located in the city of Kolobrzeg.
This marks the second time Hamilton has played in the Dominet Bank Ekstraliga, as he was previously a member of Polpak Swiecie during the 2006-2007 season. During his one year with Polpak Swiecie, Hamilton averaged 13.0 points, 4.5 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 2.3 steals per game.
Hamilton has also played professionally for Cariduros de Fajardo in the Puerto Rican Superior League in both 2007 and 2008. He led his team to the league regular season title in 2007, averaging 15.0 points, 4.6 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 2.0 steals per game. Hamilton was also selected to the Superior League All-Star team in 2008.
A 2006 Holy Cross graduate, Hamilton was named the 2005 Patriot League Player of the Year and the 2006 Patriot League Defensive Player of the Year. Over the course of his Holy Cross career, he set school records for steals (292), three-pointers made (222) and three-pointers attempted (640), while placing 10th all-time at Holy Cross in assists (308), 10th in field goals attempted (1,196) and 12th in points scored (1,492).
